Return & Refund Policy

Made-to-Order Production

 

At that desi girl, every piece is made to order and stitched specially after your order is placed.

As part of our slow-fashion approach, garments are produced only once an order is received. This helps us maintain thoughtful production and reduce fabric waste.

Because of this process, orders cannot be cancelled once they are placed.

By placing an order with that desi girl, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to all policies mentioned below:

 

Returns & Exchanges


We understand that sometimes the size may not work out, and we are happy to assist with size exchanges.

  • Exchange requests must be raised within 48 hours of delivery.

  • Exchanges are applicable only for size changes of the same product, subject to availability.

  • Items must be unused, unwashed, and returned in original condition with tags intact.

  • To be eligible for a exchange, please email us at thatdesigirl@gmail.com within 48 hours of receiving the product. Kindly attach clear pictures of the issue.

  • For approved exchanges, customers are required to pay a ₹160 exchange fee to cover re-shipping and logistics charges.

  • If the exchanged parcel needs to be shipped again due to incorrect address, unavailability, or refusal, additional shipping charges may apply.

However, if you receive wrong size from our side, damaged or defective item from our side, you can request a replacement or refund.

 

Important Notes

• We do not offer returns or refunds for preference-based reasons (such as liking, color variation, or fit expectations).

• Slight variations in color or weave may occur due to the handcrafted nature of our fabrics

 

Damaged or Defective Items

All products go through quality checks before dispatch.

If you receive a damaged or defective item:

  • Please contact us within 24 hours of delivery.

  • Share clear photos and an unboxing video showing the issue.

Requests raised without an unboxing video may not be eligible for replacement, as we are unable to verify claims afterward.

 

 

 

Partial COD Policy

We offer Partial Cash on Delivery (COD) for select orders.

  • A partial advance payment of ₹320–₹500 is required to confirm COD orders.

  • This advance amount is non-refundable if the parcel is refused or not accepted at the time of delivery.

  • The advance helps cover RTO (Return to Origin) shipping charges, which small brands incur when parcels are refused.

Customers who repeatedly refuse COD orders may be restricted from placing future COD orders.

Refunds


• Refunds are only issued if we are unable to fulfill your order due to unforeseen circumstances.
• If your replacement request is approved and we cannot provide a suitable exchange, we may offer a refund.
• Refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days through the original payment method.


Cancellation Policy


 Once an order is placed, it cannot be canceled, modified, or refunded. Please review your order carefully before confirming your purchase.


Lost or Wrong Orders


• If your parcel is marked ‘Delivered’ but not received, contact us within 24 hours so we can escalate the issue with our shipping partner.
• If you receive a wrong or defective item, send us clear pictures within 24 hours of delivery. If approved, we will offer a replacement (only if all tags are intact).


Size & Fit Assistance


If you are unsure about sizing, we strongly recommend DMing us before placing your order. Our team will gladly help you choose the right size.

Since each piece is made specially for you, selecting the correct size helps us avoid unnecessary exchanges, delays, and fabric wastage.

 

Custom Orders

​Custom orders are garments created specifically according to your measurements or special requirements.

  • Custom orders are accepted only on prepaid payment.

  • Since these pieces are made exclusively for you, custom orders are not eligible for exchange, return, or refund.
